Friend of the ADS, David Reid Passes
We have received sad news that a friend of the American Dahlia Society has passed. David Reid of the United Kingdom, a prominent contributor to the National Dahlia Society of the UK, was in his nineties. To say that Dave was dedicated to the NDS would be an understatement.
He traveled to the United States on more than one occasion and attended our National Shows. His last visit
was in 2015 for the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the ADS at the Society’s Centennial Show held on Long Island. We had the honor of presenting Dave with the ADS Silver Medal at that time.
He was a likeable fellow and truly an “ambassador” for the dahlia worldwide.
