E. H. “Ted” Collins, MBE passes away
The ADS is sad to report the passing E.H. “Ted” Collins, MBE. Ted was a giant in the dahlia world not only in the United Kingdom, but worldwide. He is the author of several books about dahlias.

The Board of Directors of the American Dahlia Society has authorized the issuing of a pin for those who have entered the judging program as candidate judges. Larry Smith Highlights Micro Dahlias on TV
Larry Smith of the Portland Dahlia Society and board member of ADS, was recently interviewed on Garden Time, a TV show carried on several channels in the Northwest. Larry introduced the viewers to micro dahlias. See the interview here.
Color Presentation Now Available
At the 2019 Spring Planning Meeting, attendees viewed a presentation on judging and classifying the color characteristic of dahlias. The presentation was the creation of Roger Walker and expertly presented by Terry Schroeder. The Board thought that all members would be interested in this presentation. The Passing of Frank Campise
It is with deepest regret that Central States Dahlia Society and the Southtown Dahlia Club report the passing of Frank Campise. Frank was a longtime member of both Chicago-based societies as well as the American Dahlia Society. He passed at 87 years (young) after a determined battle against cancer.
