Each year the ADS produces a compilation of new introductions that is made available to all members. It consists of dahlias that will be available through distributors in the coming year.  Trial Garden and Seedling Bench Evaluation Winners will be included for free, but other new introductions can be included in the presentation for a cost of $10 per image. … See entire post.

The deadline for the 2021 ADS Dahlia Contest was December 1st, 2021. Lots of great entries have been received. 

Winning photos will be announced in late January 2022. The grand prize photographer receives $50.00. Each class winner receives $20.00, second place $10.00, and third place $5.00.

Norma Jane (Ehret) Boyer passes

Norma Jane (Ehret) Boyer, born September 7, 1931 in Elkhart Indiana to Yale and Elanor Ehret. Norma passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2021 with family, as a result of another stroke.

John Menzel, Australian dahlia breeder passes


The dahlia just lost a world ambassador. John Menzel passed away peacefully at his home in Winkie, Australia, on April 10 after a long battle with a chronic muscle disease.  John and his wife, Anne, traveled the world promoting and gathering information about the dahlia for decades.
